test post one

Just a quick test post. In part, I'm doing this to fulfill one of the requirements of SPPL's "23 Things" libraries 2.0 tutorial, but I've had this idea for a blog for some time now, so it seems as good a reason as any to get the idea out of my head and into reality (such as may exist in the ephemeral world of the web.)
First post is supposed to mention which of the "7 and a half habits of lifelong learning" are easiest and hardest for me.
Hardest for me, I think, is "Habit 1: begin with the end in mind." I tend to stumble upon things I want to learn, devour them until I'm sated, and then wander off on the next tangent and repeat. So most of the time the goal is not the goal, the goal is the interesting idea of the moment. Which leads directly into what is the easiest for me: "Habit 7.5: PLAY!" Learning is play for the brain and I love to play. I like trying out new things and ideas. So now I'm jumping into some guided play with the "23 Things." Have fun. I know I will.
